A great local company is looking for a QA Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Working with Plant Managers to Implement and Maintain our Quality Sampling and Environmental Monitoring Programs.
Use sterile sampling techniques to collect and document samples of product taken at various stages for microbiological analysis.
Maintain an accurate inventory of sampling equipment and supplies, ordering items as needed.
Coordinate the transfer/delivery of finished samples to labs for microbiological analysis.
Maintaining an accurate and organized system of documentation for recording test results.
Managing our ‘hold and release’ procedure as it relates to clearing our products as safe for sale to consumers.
Instruct and monitor employees in Good Manufacturing Processes related to SOP’s in production.
Coordinate with Plant Managers to conduct environmental sampling at designated frequencies in random site locations throughout Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 of our factory.
Work to Develop and Execute SOP’s and SSOP’s related to our Quality Assurance Program.
Maintain our Calibration Program, performing regular tasks related to monitoring the metric accuracy of equipment related to quality assurance.
Maintain a thorough familiarity with our HACCP plan, with specific attention to monitoring ingredients and production that propose allergen risks, or cross contamination – Review and monitor our Allergen Control Program for production.
Execute distinguished sanitation, food safety and personal hygiene practices in accordance with our GMP training.
Maintain SQF compliance and assist with routine and unannounced audits
Coordinate with the Plant Managers to maintain timely, professional, and effective communication with our Laboratory Partners in the microbiological monitoring of our environment and finished products.
Work with the Plant Managers to coordinate the full implementation of VistaTrac as it relates to monitoring and tracking the contents of each finished product back to the source of every incorporated ingredient.
Work with the Plant Managers to keep and maintain records required by the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance.
Monitoring effective and safe SOP’s for shipping and receiving as it relates to quality assurance.
Participate in all facets of factory operations, including acting as a backup to any factory position.
Work in a manner that is consistent with an understanding of the mission, vision, and goals of the company. This position will involve a 40-hour work week and the possibility of working 8 hour shifts during days, nights and weekends on a rotating schedule as the production schedule demands.
