Delivery Driver, $20-21/hr.

The Delivery Driver will report directly to the Area Manager.

This position will be responsible for safely and legally operating the company owned delivery truck, picking up, transporting, and delivering perishable food items as well as non-perishable supplies throughout the Puget Sound region.

In addition to delivery driving duties, the Delivery Driver will be responsible for accurately fulfilling order requests and filing inventory reports as directed by the Area Manager.

The Delivery Driver may be assigned to organize and maintain an off-site storage facility, accepting deliveries from suppliers at this location, rotating products to ensure a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system of keeping products fresh, and strict adherence to required company standards of cleanliness and maintenance of the storage facility and equipment.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work 32+ hours/week, including evenings, weekend, and holidays, based upon business needs.
  • Must have a valid food handler’s permit prior to employment start date.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver’s license.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful background screening.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Perform daily routine safety checks, and pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicle.
  • Consistently complies with all safety measures appropriate for operation of assigned vehicle.
  • Operates vehicle in all assigned service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Receive orders from suppliers at off-site warehouse.
  • Organize product inventory following the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principle.
  • Pick up, load, transport, unload, and deliver as instructed frozen food items as well as dry goods and supplies to shops.
  • Ensures products and supplies are being transported comply with legal load limits.
  • Reports all accidents and/or safety violations to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
  • Maintains good customer relations and positively influences the community’s perception of the Company throughout all applicable service areas.
  • Administrative and other job duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time driving a truck.
  • Able to perform continuous physical exertions such as repetitive lifting, bending, crouching, squatting, and climbing in and out of the truck as needed to perform job duties.
  • Able to lift, carry, and transport products and supplies.
  • Able to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • This position will require exposure to sub-zero ice cream freezers.

WBR Holdings Inc may require services outside of the Puget Sound locations at company-approved venues or events.

Employees will engage in frequent daily exposure to computer monitors, telephones, motorized vehicles, sub-zero freezers, and face-to-face meetings.
